South Derbyshire School Sports Partnership

At Findern we are very lucky to have a strong link with our local community

and with our local sports partnership, SDSSP. Each year, we have the great pleasure of

entering lots of fantastic sporting competitions (which have included hockey, football and athletics amongst many others), attending training sessions for playground leaders, having expert

guidance in school and support with PE throughout our school from the

South Derbyshire School Sport Partnerships.

Cricket Sessions for years 1 to 6.

We recently had a day of cricket sessions with a coach from Derbyshire County Cricket Club. These fun sessions included batting, fielding and bowling activities as part of our affiliation with SDSSP.

Our Year 6 have had a term of sessions focusing on the importance of exercise and healthy eating and drinking - a useful reminder before they leave us in the summer. Our Year 3 will be having their own sessions around Easter time and we hope to make this a regular fixture for future children in thses year groups.
