Enrichment Activities

We offer a range of exciting sport related enrichment activities throughout the year. Many have cross-curricular links.

Whole school events have included a fabulous climbing wall which the whole school enjoyed for two days as well as a Nerf gun, laser tag and zorbing day - with every child in the school from Nursery to Year 6 taking part. These activities have been designed to increase confidence as well as widen pupil interest in a variety of physical activities - not just traditional team sports.

Individual classes have enjoyed basketball lessons with a former professional player as well as dedicated LTA tennis lessons and an exciting adventure 'splash activity' day at Carsington Water.

We have recently hosted an Indian dance workshop centred around the Hindu, Sikh and Jain Diwali festival as well as a whole school Commonwealth Day activity where pupils emulated their heroes with personal challenges in boxing, triathlon, athletics and cricket. One of our other enrichment days included archery and an amazing inflatable assault course. January 2024 has seen our first enrichment day of the year with all children, including those in the Nursery having sessions of glow in the dark dodgeball!

We have held our first enrichment day for the New Year. Always a firm favourite for after-school clubs, we  'blew away the cobwebs' after Christmas and made a healthy and active start to the year ahead.
