(Year 1)

Welcome to Elm Class. The teaching team this year is Mrs Johnson on a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and Mrs Matthews on a Friday, ably assisted by Miss Reynoldson all week. Miss Reynoldson will cover PPA every Thursday afternoon. The Elm Class staff will ensure that all children are happy and develop a love of learning. We will begin the first term by transitioning from Reception into Year 1 with child led and play based learning whilst incorporating some whole class teaching and learning. Throughout the year we will gradually work towards a more structured learning approach to prepare the children for year 2.

Reading books are changed on the following days:

Red Team- Monday

Yellow Team- Tuesday

Green Team- Wednesday

Blue Team- Thursday

If the books are not returned on the correct day, they will be changed the following week.

*PE days are Wednesdays and Fridays* - children must come to school wearing their PE kit on these days please.

• Royal blue hoody with school logo
• Plain Black joggers or leggings (no logos)
• White PE T shirt
• Royal blue or black shorts or skort
• Trainers or plimsols
