Homework and Spellings

Homework

Homework is due in every Thursday.

Children need to complete the following:

My Maths: 1/2 of the set activities per week

Times Table Rockstars: 15 minutes per week

Reading - 10 minutes daily

If, for any reason, homework cannot be completed at home, please let us know so that we can support them with these tasks in school.

Spellings

Spellings are tested every Friday and each child will have a sheet at home with the spellings for the term. They will also be uploaded to our class page. 

Reading

Children will be issued with a reading book from our Accelerated Reader scheme, which is within their ZPD range, based upon an initial assessment. These will be taken home to read throughout the week and will be replaced once the children have logged on to complete a comprehension quiz in Reading sessions in school. Please confirm that your child has read by signing their homework diary and pop a comment in to let us know how they have been getting on.
