What happened once upon a time?

This half term we are focusing on Traditional Tales and reading a range of books, such as The Magic Porridge Pot and Goldilocks and the Three Bears. We will be learning how to create story maps and using them to create our own version of stories. In Maths we will focus on numbers 0,6,7 and 8 and also capacity. We will be using different vocabulary to describe length and mass and having a go at measuring using cubes.

We will also be celebrating Chinese New Year and Valentines Day and the children will be creating crafts and cards to celebrate. We will also be learning to identify where the UK and China are on a world map. The children will then compare different landmarks in China and the UK using photographs.

The children will be taking part in a balanceability session where they will learn to safely use balance bikes. They will then get to practise these skills in our outdoor area.
