Monday 11th January

Maths:

Can you draw around a selection of coins?

Today you are going to be investigation coins so dig out your piggy banks. You will need a selection of different coins. Watch the video on Tapestry to help with your learning.

Start by looking at the coins you have and sort them into different groups, maybe based on colour, size or shape. You will then need to look carefully at old and new coins to see if you can spot any differences. Old coins have the number on each coin, for example 1p or 2p. New coins have the value of each coin written in words, for example one penny or two pence.

You are going to draw around 3 different coins and spot what might be the same and different. You are going to write the value of each coin too.
